Read Better Be Better is the only nonprofit organization in Arizona that engages youth leaders to help solve the state’s literacy crisis. The organization trains 8th grade students to implement a highly structured after-school curriculum for 3rd grade students considered to be at risk of being kept behind, according to the Arizona State Literacy Plan. Research shows that a student who cannot read at a 3rd grade level is 4 times less likely to graduate high school by age 19 (Education Week).
Each month, ParaCore donates a portion of all client fees to Read Better Be Better. This year, we have committed to funding the addition of the program to 2 new valley schools, requiring an aggressive goal of $22,000. We love having the opportunity to join RBBB in their fight against illiteracy in Arizona and value the impact they are making in the lives of young students. By supporting their growth and education, we hope our contributions help them realize their full potential and pay it forward to future generations.
